John Harkin

Driven by a vision to support the socio-economic recovery of Northern Ireland’s northwest, John established Alchemy Technology Services in Derry/Londonderry. Alchemy, a Guidewire partner, delivers comprehensive insurance software services spanning inception, implementation, testing, quality assurance, data migration, and ongoing operational support.

Before founding Alchemy, John held multiple senior leadership roles, including Global Head of Build and Delivery for Xuber Insurance software at DXC, acting Industry General Manager for Insurance in UKI&N, and Managing Partner for Enterprise Transformation and Technology Consulting. He also led technology advisory and transformation consulting at PwC and KPMG, and managed global insurance software and ITO business units at Xchanging.

With over three decades of experience, John combines deep expertise in strategy, technology, process optimisation, and organisational change with a strong track record of helping clients achieve transformative results in the insurance sector.
