Improving the User Experience in the Claims Opening Process

A solution that allows recreating a better user experience of online claims for brokers and customers.

01What did our client need?

The main objective was to provide a better user experience, in the scope of the digital transformation of the insurance company and the need for a simple, intuitive, and fast way to report a claim. NTT DATA Portugal developed a solution using the low-code platform, OutSystems. The user had the possibility to submit a claim, which automatically initiated the claim process within the company.

02How did we help our client?

With the knowledge gained from other insurance projects, backed by a wealth of experience of using the low-code OutSystems platform, NTT DATA was able to develop a complete application. With just a few user-supplied data and in just four or five steps, it was able to report a claim on a wide variety of insurance products.

03What was the result?

The application is very intuitive and user friendly which allowed a really positive impact in a large number of customers. The average processing time for a simple claim was significantly reduced. In a consequence, freed up the claims manager to analyse more complex processes, which required more time for dedication and analysis.
